Thanks the lord! First on camera audition in a while and they want me back for round two. That feels pretty good. Know what else would feel pretty good? A big fat national commercial paycheck. Word.
Check it out ya'll. Minna was cast as Lady MacDuff in The Gallery Player's production of Macbeth. I will also be playing a witch. So if one role isn't enough to get you to Brooklyn, maybe two will do:)
So it's been a while since I've updated my posts. I didn't know what was worth reporting. I wasn't getting auditions. I filmed a short with S&M; however, I didn't feel as though I was being received by the industry at large. I felt unaccomplished. Then as I reviewed the last couple months, I realized that I had been consistently staying engaged and challenging myself to recommit to the journey everyday. Times are slow for everyone, but I have managed to attend several industry events, research shows and theater productions, find new monologues, gain insight, clarify my wants, and unify my vision of who I am as an artist. Not too bad. Low and behold, things stated to pick up and I found myself prepared and deserving. I have gotten back in the swing and feel confident for the first time in a couple months. It's a marathon and some times I need to slow my pace to build momentum for the finish. All in due time.
... meticulous and scatter brained.
